The Movement:
Building long-term Power and
the City budget
that Houston Deserves
Call to Action:

Calling all groups working across transportation, climate, immigration, and police to express public dissent. We can disrupt in a way that builds our long-term power and sets the terms of the conversation, to have actual democratic influence on the city budget for the future.
Join us at the next event.
We have two weeks to make the budget better.

We need to register dissent. (contact your city council members)

Getting ‘no votes’ or slowing the passage of budget represents unprecedented power in the city of Houston, and opens the range of political possibility now and in the future.

We reject the budget as proposed as a matter of democracy.

We can still set an expectation for democracy in Houston.
